Technology

h2bThe glass separation process for flat glass and glass tubes is based on tension induced cracking using laser radiation.

By heating the glass using laser radiation, a defined tension profile can be induced in the glass. On the basis of a starting crack, the glass is separated by guiding the crack through product. This non-contact procedure produces edge qualities of highest quality, which provides increased firmness of the product. The procedure is also applicable for coated glass and offers a worldwide singular advantage. Also, several glasses can be separated in one processing step, without breaking.

Principle MLBA™

h2bThe cutting method is based on a Multiple Laser Beam Absorption Technology, called MLBA.

Principle Tubocut

The cutting method for glass tubes and hollow ware is based on an increase of the absorption rate compared with conventional technologies. The method is based on a new beam guiding system.
